I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but I downloaded the latest version of DAEMON Tools Lite through their website yesterday, and installed it on my fresh copy of Windows 8.1. It contained a downloader virus that went to town on my computer until I hastily downloaded AVG. I had to reformat my hard drive to get rid of the the programs installed by the virus. I used the same installer again today, and during the installation of DTLite, my antivirus blocked the same downloader from installing itself again.

Hopefully this is only a problem I'm experiencing, but I wanted to warn everyone just in case the latest installer for DAEMON Tools has been corrupted.

This is all I get after upgrading from v5 on Windows XP.


Tried uninstall and downloading the install file with the same result.
I have to go back to v5.

I think this was the verry last time i installed deamontools. this crappy searchprotect destroyed my Chrome browser! now i must Format my Computer again -.-

in the Forum everywhere adds to... please remove free user Registration and only sell premium Versions and give us trojan free Downloads. ore stop releasing anything!

If I drag the window wider, then close DAEMON Tools 10.0, it reverts back to the original size. Also; If I click the Maximize button, the window moves straight to the top of my screen instead of maximizing.
And also, I can only drag it wider. I cannot drag it higher.

There is something wrong here. :chargrined:

Hello. I used Windows Locale Builder 2.0 to create a custom locale based on English US. Testing it with different apps now...
Found the problem with the downloader of DAEMON Tools Lite. I think it fails to detect the locale and just prints the names of constants. Take a look:

The installer and the app itself work fine.
I know it's not critical, just wanted to report.

Locale I use: en-RU-x-nimms.ldml
It's a plain XML file, just import it to Locale Builder and generate an MSI package to install.

Hallo,

ich habe folgendes Problem mit Daemon Tools Pro Advanced 6.1.0.0485 unter Windows 10:

Wenn ich ein Image mit dem IDE Laufwerk mounte kann ich nicht auf das Laufwerk zugreifen. Der Name der Disk wird nicht angezeigt und das dazugehörige Disk Icon fehlt. Wenn man nun auf das Laufwerk zugreifen möchte kommt die Meldung "Auf den Datenträger kann nicht zugegriffen werden".

SCSI und DT-Laufwerk funktionieren

Den Fehler habe ich auf beiden meiner PCs, allerdings habe ich auch bei beiden PCs versäumt vor dem Windows Upgrade Daemon Tools zu deinstallieren. Nach dem Upgrade habe ich bei beiden Rechner Daemon Tools nach folgender Anleitung deinstalliert und anschließend wieder neu installiert. Fehlermeldungen gab es keine.

Deinstallationsanleitung:
- Uninstall DT Pro 6.1
- Uninstall SPTD using this tool and reboot: sptdremov.exe
- delete the folders C:\ProgramData\DAEMON Tools Pro and C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\Roaming\DAEMON Tools Pro
- Install DT Pro 6.1 and check SCSI/IDE device functionalty


Kann mir bitte jemand bei meinem Problem helfen?

H guys,

I'v purchased the Daemon tools pro advanced 6 and running with windows 10 pro, all the time i've click in one image like iso idf or other create a NEW drive (ex: "H:\", G:\, etc.) in my computer.

Ho can i set for the images mount in one drive?

Receiving "error access denied" or "error image is locked" when I'm trying to create virtual drives or mount images. Drives do not show up in Windows Explorer.

Windows 10 Pro (64bit)

Any help or suggestions?

I have encrypted my VHD with a password through bitlocker. When I try to mount it with Daemon Tools Ultra, I get the error Access denied. With the disk manager of Windows, I can mount the image and I'm prompted to enter the password when I try to access the drive. Please add support for encrypted VHD's.

Hi!

.ISZ files are not completely supported in Daemon Tools!

Make an ISZ file with the newest UltraISO using the "Heavy Compress" as compression method.

Now try to mount that in Deamon Tools!
It won't be usable/readable! (even the Drive can't be opened!)

PLEASE fix it!

I have a lot of ISZ files with heavy compression,
and it has been a year now i have to use gBurner because that is the only one which can open them.
I do not want to use gBurner, i want to use Daemon Tools!

PLEASE fix it!

McAfee VirusScan has detected malware in the latest update download/install of Daemon Tools Lite.

I've installed the latest DTLite v10 on a Windows 7 machine.
Then i've followed thid guide to create a portable installation and uninstalled the app from the control panel.
But now the program is not loading anymore.
Maybe the portable mode is broken in v10?

Downloaded Daemon Tools again on my new build...

Was greeted by a multitude of deeply rooted malware.

Chrome was hijacked. And DNS setting were messed with.
If anyone is having problems removing this run a anti virus a few times over and quarantine. It also helps to use a file unlocker to manually delete any suspicious processes running. If you get a DNS error on all pages after removing adware...
Launch CMD in admin... PIC

netsh (enter)
winsock reset (enter)
pic()
Your browser should be fixed immediately.*or after restart.;)

Hi!

First time ever i have problem with this software.

When it's installed and i try to start it it just says:

Error Temp Directory has more than 65535 folders inside.

And the program never starts.

Running WIndows 10

Hello,

I recently bought Daemon Tools pro advanced, as an upgrade to Daemon Tools lite, and I have noticed that the DTSoft virtual drives disappear when I reboot my machine.
Scsi and IDE drives don't seem to be affected though.
In the version of Daemon Tools lite I was using, the drives persisted on rebooting, and I manually added the drive in Daemon Tools pro.

Is this a bug or is it an intended feature?

- When installing the application and removal of a tick to send anonymous information and start the program (in the settings) is checked to send anonymous information correct

When I want to watch a film on Windows Media Player after a mounted image file (ISO, NRG, IMG or whatever), the mounting usually starts up automatically as requested. But it doesn't always shows on WMP. Sometimes is does, sometimes not. It's a little bit annoying. Is there something one can do about it?

When I mount an image file (DVD film), it usually starts the Windows Media Player as requested. But there are moments where the mounting does work and sometimes it does not. It's a bit annoying even though the mounting is actually working. Is there a way to do something about it?
